I'd love to say I'm usually more aware than this, but my preferred coping mechanism is to blot out large sections of time so I can enjoy the somatic and emotional effects of my post traumatic stress without any of the insight.
Well, I'm here if you want to talk. Personally I would just as soon not actually rehash that, but getting drunk looks less like substance abuse when you're doing it in someone else's vicinity.
