Bonjour - I have discovered that this Saturday is Adrienne's birthday. Of course, I did not get this information from her, but that is not so important. I was thinking we could take her for something. Lunch, maybe? If you are both free, of course.

You, sir, were drunk as a skunk last night. I saw somebody loading you into a car sometime around closing time. I hope you had a great time - the box inside your suite door is from me. I'll teach you to use what's inside if you want. If not, they're still pretty to look at. If you're interested, there's a second half to your present, but it sort of hinges on you wanting to learn.

Hey, sorry I sort of ditched out of your celebration after 90 mins or so. I...don't do great in crowds these days and there were some revelers I don't get on with famously which makes it worse for me. I tried to stick around as long as I could but by time I had to throw in the towel you were in the middle of chatting with people and I didn't want to spoil the mood by interrupting.
I beg you…to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without ever noticing it, live your way into the answer… - Rainer Maria Rilke

Bonjour - I found that there is to be a meeting this evening in District X of business owners and people who are interested in improving the neighborhood. They have apparently been meeting for some time. I am not so sure they are having much success in their efforts. Since you are now a business owner, I thought I would drag you to this meeting, oui? It is at six at Book End. Dinner first, then civic mindedness.
To: [Frost, Adrienne] and [Worthington, Warren] From: [Beaubier, Jean-Paul] Subject: This Thursday...
Bonjour.
It occurred to me today to check the calendar and it is a good thing I did, I think. This Thursday is Jean's birthday. I do not know which it is and I believe it is rude to ask, but this is not the point. The point, my friends, is that I think maybe her birthday has been forgotten in all the troubles. She has not mentioned it at all. This is not odd, necessarily, but I believe it would be good for her to spend her birthday not in the medlab, oui? And so I thought to ask - on such short notice, what is something we could do for her to get her out of the medlab? She has been through much, these past few months, and sitting vigil over Vanessa cannot be so easy for her, as it is not easy for any of us.
As promised, I wanted to let you know before I made the official announcement that I am allowing Vanessa to have visitors for brief periods of time starting tomorrow morning. She regained consciousness briefly, but circumstances have led me to have to put her into a medically induced coma for the time being to ensure that she heals properly.
I am aware the two of you are having difficulties with one another and I care about both of you a lot, but when you are in Vanessa's room I am going to ask that you please leave that outside. I hope that the two of you will eventually reconcile but for now, I do not want any stress in the room.
Please meet me tomorrow morning at 9:00am and I will let you in.
