Delivered by courier Friday evening - inside is a book of German folk tales from the Black Forest, dating back to the 1600s

Note tucked into the first page, written in rather elegant copperplate:

"Dear Wanda,

Thank you very much for the other night. I found this among my collection and thought you might like it, after you mentioned the Black Forest. Consider it a small token of thanks, and of friendship.
