So, why don't you know how to react?

Why wouldn't you deserve it? Do you have a habit of kicking puppies and putting kittens in the dryer that I don't know about?
Some people get offended over weird stuff. And...you know you can blame yourself for too much stuff right? I mean, I don't think I'll ever try to offend you or anything, but always assuming you just have a flaw is wrong. Especially since sometimes it's probably not your flaw.
Speaking of flaws, why do you keep trying to be nice to Cammie when she's so rude to you? Don't get me wrong, she's my friend, but she's not a raging case of PMS when I talk to her.

People forget that us hot girls also like hearing pretty things at times.
I have my own issues, Kevin. I'm still not sure of just what to call them, but as soon as I know I'll book a movie night and some heart-to-heart talk, if you want.
She's my roommate, and I consider her a friend. I guess...she can't stand that no matter what she throws at me I won't stop trying to be nice to her. Someone has; she acts all tough but it's not a secret she wakes up in the middle of night, and she might not be screaming, but I can tell when someone is tense. I...care about her, in a twisted sort of way. I guess I'm just deluding myself into thinking she will eventually be nice to me. I would like her to, but in a way...well, she deserves to have someone that won't give up on her.

I'm pretty sure hot girls probably hear it less since so many guys get intimidated by them.
Everyone's got issues. But you're not required to have share time if you don't want. Lord knows I avoid having share time about my issues if I can help it. I'm not about to inflict it on someone else.
I admire you for not giving up. I would've if she was like that to me. And, yeah, she covers a lot. Sometimes when she wakes up screaming she ends up in my suite. And sometimes when I do I end up in yours. So she's not entirely out in the cold alone, for what it's worth.

You have no idea.
Hey, we could both use it, perhaps? But you don't need to share if you don't want. I suck with crying boys, just like you do with crying girls.
She's a great person, when she wants to; when she allows herself to. It's the least I can do. And she's not alone, she has us, for starters. So she's going to have to suck it up and improve sooner or later.

You don't intimidate me.
I can't remember the last time I cried at all. It might have been when I was in jail, actually.
I suggest finding something pretty solid and beating her with it. Her head's thick enough, she'll survive it.

Who are you, Kevin Ford? And why can't I figure you out?
Yes, I want to hear more about this. Not the crying, not so much, I guess, but you in jail...
So, so tempting. I'm scared she might end up liking it, thought.

Maybe you're trying to make me more complicated than I am. I'm pretty simple. Just an artist, really. Real observant and a good memory for details. That's all.
Well, federal holding, technically. It's probably be better to tell you in email since I can anticipate the expression that'll be on your face afterward and I really hate one of those options. But it seems wrong to say over email so you can ask me about it next time you see me, deal?
Never attack her with kitchen utensils unless you want to turn her on.

Maybe you are more royal purple than you want to admit.
You are right, but hey, no need to press on the touchy subject if you don't want to.
...Duly noted. On bold, and italics.

I never said I wasn't. But I think I'm more, like, green or orange maybe. There's some layers of details but it's all pretty basic underneath here.
It's not a touchy subject anymore. It's just that usually people feel bad for me. And they get that look on their face that says it. And I hate that look. Like I'm a little kid who doesn't get what's going on or something.

I'll try not to make a face if you tell me. I think I know you enough to avoid judging you like that.

I like orange. I feel like I'm usually more tranquil, more green. But I'm more orange in certain situations.
Well at least I know you'll be trying not to make the face when that conversation happens. That's worth something.

And I have no idea of what that means, but green and orange are okay colors.
Will you let me hug you and stuff anyway?

Green is a cool color, it's more calming than orange which is warmer and more energetic.
If you really feel like you need to I probably won't stop you but it's not like I'll be falling apart or anything.

And I would hug you for myself, because that's what buddies do and because it's a good excuse to hug you. I won't even mind if you go all stoic like.

There's probably lots of books about it. There's probably stuff online, too.
I didn't realize you were looking for excuses to hug me.

Sounds like a, ahem, endearing reading material. Or just something with a lot of pictures.
Shush, if I can have an excuse, I'll take it. If not, I'll just do it.
