2/2 - Can the two even coexist? The world only ever built one of them, after all.

(1/2) A ship is more than the sum of its' parts. It is the history of all of the travels it has made
(2/2) and crew and cargo and passengers it has known

1/3 - Is it though? Is a ship at its core not its keel and timber and rigging
2/3 - Everything else that comes later is just... excess.
3/3 - They may add or alter, but they don't change the ship at its heart

2/3 - So they are the same ship, and yet not? I don't understand
3/3 - The ship was always the original, and yet the original parts were also the original. A journey does not change that they started in the same place.

(2/2) Even if the ships start in the same place, the journey itself changes them, and that is rather the point.
