Subject: a thought...

I was talking to Julio earlier this evening, and it struck me that you might be a good person to talk to him about some of the theory behind what he does. It's what you study, after all. He didn't quite perk up at the suggestion - Julio is not a perky boy these days - but he did look interested. I think. Hard to tell without the telepathy.

Anyway - any basic textbooks you could recommend to him, maybe?
