Shiro,

I was injured in the line of duty.  I was doing my job.  Yes, your actions precipitated the event but it was my choice to act; this is the life I live, and what I did is what I do.  More extreme in this case, but not by much, given other events in my past. 

I'm glad to see that you've survived.  Whatever lessons there were to be learned here, I hope you learned them.  I suppose I could take advantage of this and require certain things of you as my student to direct your course, but I won't.  Those things have to come of your own free will. 

I think Hank would agree that I am no longer so distressing to look at as to traumatize anyone.  If you'd like to see me, you can find a time when I'm awake to do so.  I'll accept an apology in person then, just once, and then it'll be settled between us.  Whatever else you take upon yourself in future as a result is your choice, I hope it serves you well.
