Angelo, I don't know if you'll believe me or not, but David sent Sooraya flowers at the Community Centre today. They had a note and everything, it's simply precious.

Oh absolutely. They're lovely, too. She told me they're even her favourite kind! I have to admit, I didn't expect David to be quite so on point when it came to wooing, not for any particular reason, I just didn't get the impression he did this sort of thing often. But it's all very charming.

No, but I was in town for a lot of it.

I wasn't. I was at the mansion for the most part. Come to think of it, she's still been missing for lunches and, while we don't do anything formal at the weekend, usually I see her prepping for outreaching at the Community Centre or sorting books and other educational tools that should be going to other locations in District-X... which I didn't.

I mean, if she's happy, I'm pleased? But he's kind of... older, and she's not exactly had a lot of good experience.

I didn't know that. We haven't discussed our pasts in much detail. Should I not encourage this? How old is he? How old is she?

They're both adults, if this is what they want it's what they want.

She's 31 this year and he's - 40? I think?

Christ Almighty, you made me think he'd turned 55 or something and she was in her twenties still. Like I'd completely misjudged their ages, which isn't something I normally do. Don't worry me like that, Angelo. I nearly had a heart attack.

The thing is, I don't think she's ever had a relationship she wanted to be in.

Well now I want to find out who hurt her and arrange their imminent destruction. Which is to say, I don't think you're being over protective. Though perhaps actually speaking with Sooraya instead of speculating might be for the best. You know her better than I do, obviously. I vote you check in with her.
