Professor,

I know I'm a total dick for leaving the way I did, no phone calls, no emails, nothing, but in my feeble defense, mothers have strange and mysterious powers of persuasion. Hey, maybe that's where psis get their power--it's a mutation of the 'mom' gene. Anyway, I did things her way, and I wish I hadn't, and--Ugh, I'm rambling. No wonder I'm getting a C- in Business Writing.

What I'm trying to say is I'm wearing my ruby slippers, I'm clicking my heels...can I come home? To my real home, my real family. I want to finish out the summer term, but after that I'll do anything you ask of me. I'll teach, train, hell, I'll scrub floors and empty trash cans. I just want to come home.
