Subject: That pick-up

Since the professor already suggested bringing Forge along to check out the weird readings in the area, do you think we should also take one or two of the older kids? I don't want to overwhelm the family, but since it sounds like they might be uncomfortable with the idea of the school it might make them feel better if they can see the kind of people who've actually been enrolled. A peer presence may make the kid feel a little more comfortable, too. I thought maybe we could ask Jan and Kyle, since she's around doing RA things and Kyle's done with class for the day. Also, they're both pretty, um, "up."

That seems like an excellent idea to me - as long as we make sure Kyle and Jan do not have too much sugar on the way there (too much enthusiasm can be just as off-putting as not enough). I will notify everyone and we should be ready to depart shortly.

Yeah . . . probably we should ask them to hang out in the 'Bird while we make first contact. Since Forge'll probably be sticking in there there's a pretty good chance they'll learn something while they wait, even if it isn't on purpose. They can get some topical Blackbird lessons if nothing else.
