Ms. Frost-

Sorry to take quite so long in getting back to you, but I've been trying to put everything together for you, and there are a few slight roadblocks in the way.

The clinic records were the first thing I tried to hack...getting into the clinic's files was quite a job all by itself, but luckily I know a few tricks. Manuel's files had sections, the more interesting stuff under increasing levels of security. In the process of getting through the encryption levels, I discovered something interesting about my mutant power: a sort of pattern recognition that helped me crack the encryption codes. I managed to get down to a 256-bit encryption, which is supposed to be well-nigh unhackable. However, yours truly managed it, although it took working myself into a massive migraine.

Unfortunately, there's another level of encryption on some last notes in the file, including some of the names of people that signed off on procedures and Manuel's incarceration. Those are under what looks to be an encryption of at _least_ 4000 bits. I've tried a few things, but either I'm going to need a significantly greater amount of computing power (and even then, there's no guarantees), or you'll have to approach this from a different direction. Are you familiar with the concept of 'social hacking'?

Manuel's court records were comparatively easy to access. There is one interesting thing in those, though. From what I can tell, his government ID number is bogus. The first two fields parse out to a person of his age range from tbe Basque region, but the third field has an out of range value. I don't know how significant that is, but it's definitely odd.

I did my best to cover my tracks (and my best is pretty good, if I do say so myself), but nothing's foolproof. I haven't detected any warning flags since my hacking attempts, so hopefully nobody suspects anything.

If there's any other information you need on this subject, let me know.
