Inside an envelope slid underneath Betsy's door in the middle of the night, a note and an amethyst pendant on a silver chain, The note reads, in Amanda's poor handwriting:

Hapy Birthday Betsy. Saw this in LA and thought it would suit. Didn't know about the birthday, but I have a knack for things like that. Hope you like it.

Mostly. The person I got it from told me it had healing qualities, but not much more than that. Still, healing's good, right? Besides, it matches your hair. *grins*
