That email Dom sent us earlier? Left out a whole lot of stuff. Such as the fact that she was a whole lot more than a little banged up, and in FSB custody, to boot. If it hadn't been for Doug pestering her to tell him the story about that golf game in Kabul... well, fuck the what-ifs. He did, plus traced down where she was sending the emails from. I had Vasily's brother go pick her up. She's fine, although she apparently mixed vodka with painkillers a little too liberally. I don't think I'm looking forward to asking her what she was thinking.

Didn't see any need to rouse you, once I knew Alexey had extracted her. It happened pretty damned fast, not that I'm complaining. I'm going to stay up until I hear from GW that he's arrived to pick her up. Once you see this, come bearing coffee and I'll fill you in on the rest of the details.

PS: My mind is boggling at the idea of what Doug's going to be able to do in a few more years. Given that he located the source of her email in an FSB safehouse in under ten minutes tonight...
