Someone gave me a box of chocolate and a rose at my locker and then someone else confessed their feelings. I don't know why they did that and I made them cry. My friends aren't helpful. Can one of you come pick me up? I don't like what I am feeling. I don't understand today and I don't think I can afford another detention. Unless you want another parent teacher conference.

They keep telling me I should be happy and just accept them so I wouldn't hurt feelings. But I don't want to.

And you shouldn't have to. Consent is important, and just because they feel something doesn't make you obligated to, no matter what anyone says.
