Romany's charm, the one that keeps my power in check and gives me enough to go on so the addiction doesn't kick in? Got sort of broken. I've just been on the phone to Rom, and she can get me a new one, only since she has to do it alone for a bunch of reasons, she's not going to be able to get it to me for a couple of weeks. maybe three. She seems to think I can manage all right - something about a bit of cold turkey doing me some good - but I know how it gets and I'm giving you fair warning.
Moira - I'll be down in a jiff so we can work out what's to be done. Might be an idea to let the other docs know, since there's that whole constant throwing up thing I do.
Kurt - can I get you to take Meg? After Saturday, since I promised her a day and I should be all right for a couple of days at least. I don't want her seeing me all withdrawl-y.
Someone should probably let the rest of the staff know, too, just so's they can keep an eye on things. The last time was bad enough, which is why I'm not going to use anything to cushion things - it was hard enough last time after the last relapse. But just so there's an explanation for wild mood swings and the rest. I'm not going to announce it to all and sundry - the kids don't need to know about my junkie issues, but the staff probably should know. If only to help keep Meg distracted. *wry*
Be careful what you wish for, huh? I wished the bloody thing was gone, and there I go, but I always thought I'd be, y'know cured first.
