Okay, forgive me the Donna Summer references.

I have a question for the two of you. An offer, really. As I've been doing all this prom planning and band auditioning and whatnot it occurred to me that you two, as graduating seniors might like to have a hand of some sort in making the evening a success and a good memory. Since neither of you volunteered to hang streamers, I had to go with the second best option.

Which is this: Would either or both of you be interested in taking the mike for a couple of songs? Slow, fast, in between...whatever strikes your fancy. The band has assured me that they'll be able to follow along no matter what you choose.

I will ask you to limit to two songs each though, otherwise I'll start wondering why I paid for the entertainment when I had it on hand and then I'll remember that this school used to field a whole band and then I'll be cranky. So two songs max. If you'd like to do it at all of course.

You have a couple days to decide but no more.
