Gentlemen,
Next weekend I have matters to attend to in Los Angeles, and rather than let my absence interfere with Amanda's training at this early and crucial juncture, I'm proposing that she come along with me. There are various people in the LA magical community it would be beneficial for her to meet, and on a non-educational note, I believe it would do her some good to have some time away from the school - her actual 'time off' during spring break amounted to a weekend in Brighton, and the stress of over-compensating for her lack of discipline previously is having a detrimental effect on her ability to concentrate.
To this end I'm taking the liberty of suggesting that she and a friend of her choosing (she tells me she has a friend who has family in LA, which would be perfect, as I will be occupying her time all Saturday) accompany me to LA on the Friday evening, returning Sunday in plenty of time to prepare for classes on Monday morning. Consider me askinf for permission to borrow a couple of your students for the weekend.
