Was going to try and take you out to dinner tonight but I don't think that's happening. Settle for a walk by the lake until things calm down enough for me to be able to actually leave the premises?

Re: Email to Scott
Also, I am not free tomorrow night either, because my little brother and bratty 'sister' cornered me just now and used their evil powers of "but Scott" on me and I am going to see "Hellboy", God help me. Apparently it's just the three of us, too, or I'd ask you to suffer with me. They love me, I have to remind myself of this. They torment me because they love me. (Actually, I'm glad to spend time with them, especially Alex. I know Marie will come around if she needs me, but Alex doesn't, so having some time with him is good.)
Re: Email to Scott
I think I'm ready to talk and I know we need to, desperately. And tonight, or any other night that you can find the time for me, I'll be ready.
You should get out, have fun with Alex and Marie. They're probably tormenting you because they know you need the time away.
(And there's no need to explain, Alex is just a victim of the Summer's family stubbornness. I know it well.)
