Good morning all -

Regarding the security breach for the teams communication board yesterday, I'd like to reassure everyone that the situation is being handled. Matt is retaking our security protocols modules and I've already made sure that his auto-lock on his phone and his other electronics has been decreased. I'd like to also make sure everyone knows that Matt's SOP is to utilize an earbud while listening to confidential or sensitive material, so his partner Foggy wouldn't have actually heard anything from my report.

I'd like to make a request regarding upgrading the biometric security on mansion-issued/encrypted electronics. If at all possible, is there a way to make sure that a device shuts down if picked up by someone it wasn't issued to?

This was a minor mistake that won't happen again.

I've been reviewing some materials you sent me on the appropriate use of force in the field. I can translate the the increasing steps from just our presence acting as deterrent all the way to deadly force, even with our various powers. Though to think about how I would use my powers at the various levels was an challenging exercise, because so much depends on the circumstances.

But where I am wondering about is how we determine appropriate force or action towards a group? When will we take a certain level of action?

Today we were visited by a client who would like to hire us to search for her missing boyfriend, Cain Marko. Yes, I am sure you will recognize this name as former Brotherhood Member. Juggernaut. I wasn't aware that Cain was in the New York Area until I saw the report. I haven't seen Marko since I was a teenager but I know he left the Brotherhood but for reasons unknown.

Reason why I am bring this to your attention is because I am suspecting Brotherhood may be involved with the influx of missing people. This is just my own personal opinion - missing mutants, now Marko? Who else? Regardless, Marko isn't someone I would personally like to get angry so I would like to work together with the XMen on this. Alex and Bobbi are the points on this and if you have any questions please reach out to both of them for any questions.

It seems it's a busy time for us. I have another new resident for the mansion: Betsy Braddock. She's had a rough time - she was hospitalized for several years after her telepathy manifested, and only recently came to Muir. I've done a full examination, and I think she would be happier in a more comfortable environment, with people her age and telepaths better suited for teaching her.

She has a flight to New York scheduled for later today, and she should arrive tomorrow night. She may be a bit nervous, so help getting around when arrives could be good.

Hello, Scott:

I know we have our regular Skype meeting tomorrow, but I have a matter of some urgency with which I require your help. You may be aware from recent media reports of a young mutant woman by the name of Alani Ryan, who has been making a number of public appearances in support of mutants. A worthy if dangerous endeavor, and Ms. Ryan and her family have been receiving threats of violence and worse via social media, public forums and lately, the family home. Unfortunately, things escalated last week when an explosive device was mailed to the Ryan family household. It detonated on their front doorstep, and while no-one was injured, it was a deeply unsettling experience for all of them.

Ms. Ryan is starting college in New York next week. I took it upon myself to contact her and offer her a place of safety to study at the mansion. She and her family decided this would be the best option and accepted my offer. I believe Ms. Ryan will be arriving there shortly. I hope you will welcome her and assist her in the transition, and do your best, as ever, to ensure her safety. I do apologize for the late notice, but secrecy has been necessary, given Ms. Ryan's semi-public profile and the threats against her.

I just got off the phone with my mom. My awesome, cool, sweet, mutant rights activist lawyer mother. Apparently she's been getting death threats at her office from Friends of Humanity types for several MONTHS but didn't want to tell me, and now they're starting to come to her HOUSE. The place where she lives. And sleeps. Mostly. I think she sleeps at the office a lot. Workaholic.

ANYWAYS.

I'm going back to Seattle ASAP - basically as soon as I can figure out logistics and how much stuff I can fit in my car. If anyone wants to hurt her, they're going through me first. Once I'm done arguing with her about YES, she DOES need a bodyguard actually, because these people are DANGEROUS, and if anyone is setting anyone on fire, it's ME.

I might not tell her that last part.

So, time to do some logistics and speed packing and figure out if the cat can handle that long of a road trip. Not going to run out before I get a hug from all of you, don't worry, but I thought letting you know it was coming was better than ambushing you -Angel
