I'm so sorry but the shit in my head is getting louder and uglier and I gotta stop faffing around and go deal with it permanent-like. You know as well as I do I'm not sleeping well of late and while I fake it well, I'm just a mess right now. So I'm gonna go spend some serious time with Naze - between the two of us we should be able to get this all sorted.

It's gonna suuuuuck and a large part of it is gonna be isolation or Cheyenne personal time and satcomms are kinda frowned on out there, let alone cellphone towers.

If Naze'll allow it, maybe we can arrange for you to come out and visit. No promises.

If so, come on down to Uncle Forge's Toyland where I will, for a fee of a Highly Caffeinated Beverage, either restore your old electronics to full functionality or, if you'd just as soon get rid of it, make sure it gets recycled and disposed of properly.

Uncle Forge's Toyland is currently located in the Mech-E Lab. Signs are posted where they need to be or you can just ask the directory where I am.

EDIT: Uncle Forge can also dispose of secured electronic devices safely and securely, if you're of the professionally or personally or both paranoid mindset.

Subject: You’ve Got My Powers, And I’ve Got Tips

Forge (or Forgge, temporarily embrace that extra g through her original misspelling) I saw the list of who got what, and I’m really sorry! I know it’s got to be a big shock. If my empathy gets to be a little bit too much at any point, and you feel overwhelmed, you can always try to feel the trees out front! Their lives are calm, they’re not sick, and it might not be as daunting if you can feel them as a break from people. Focus, breathe, and feel their lives.

There’s a chance of leafiness or some bark coloring setting up shop in your skin if you try it, but it’s soothing to go out and be one with the trees for a little while. A tree fort is what I’m recommending! And some other powers pointers if something manifests that’s more unexpected than having them at all.

Don’t stick a fork in an outlet, because I’m not sure if you’d be able to stomach the electricity like I was able to do or if it might hurt you (plus the shorting out something/scaring people). Do see if you can levitate or fly, and in case of issues be surrounded by fluffy pillows. If underwater, there’s a chance of gills, but maybe don't attempt more than a few minutes beneath the water of the pool. Regular breathing should switch over for just a little bit to gill breathing.

Might be able to move the flames of a candle or fireplace around the area, but you can't put out the fire, and you can't ignite it. You would appear to have extra flamey hair, but it's not really on fire or warm or anything.

Might need you to redirect and stall the others somewhere/sometime soon. The captive's not gonna be easy to transport and him having an 'accident' is better than the alternative of him blowing the mission for us entirely. Also, McCoy's not likely to let this go and he's got all the information he needs to recreate the virus in his head. Might need some assistance keeping the others busy then, too.

Howdy folks. If my paranoid brain is gonna keep me up I'm gonna share the love.

Right now, if something big and nasty comes through the portal, what if anything can we do about it? We've got sensors galore so at least we'll have good data as the beastie eats all of our faces.

So - brainstorming time. What do you think we should do the next time something pops out of the portal and it's not as benevolent as April?

I've got ideas but someone with very pointy elbows is reminding me that obtaining feedback and brainstorming before I go ahead and implement what I want might be a good idea.

Said pointy-elbowed person is also reminding me that just setting up a killzone is also probably Not On.

I think someone on Team Magic may have set up a mystical ward. Illyana, can I ask you to take a look and judge if the ward's any good? You're the dimensional traveler, after all.

I have decided that the operators near the portal room deserve to have snacks and/or caffeine on an in-demand basis. Therefore, I have ordered the finest multi-product vending machine I could find and arranged to have it stocked bi-weekly. Should be a wide variety of stuff in there, from the not-quite-lethally caffeinated to the purest spring water to gross gas station snacks to healthy stuff like nuts and granola.

Far as I can tell, everything should have been good to go. Yet here we are, powerless. People are taking it well but we've got a lot of work to do. Molly, if you're amneable, another set of eyes might go well on the rectifier here while I double-check your work on the cross-connects. I don't question that you did your work and did it well, but another set of eyes.

Clint, if you can get out to the Net, can you check local newsfeeds? Breakers look good so I don't think we shorted across anything but if you're comfy with a multi-meter we can use someone to tone out the major power feeds, make sure we didn't have a dumb and short across something we shouldn't have.
