Was going to try and take you out to dinner tonight but I don't think that's happening. Settle for a walk by the lake until things calm down enough for me to be able to actually leave the premises?

Massive Understatement, Scott. I know you're frustrated, I can almost hear you were grinding your teeth from here.
I truly can't believe what they manage to get into when we're not watching their every step.
You know, I've seen some parents put their children on this leash contraptions, I think we should convince Charles in getting them in bulk. Right, not very nice, but it is a thought.
For now, a walk would be nice. But, I think we both deserve a break. Don't you?

Re: Email to Scott

Re: Email to Scott
Date: 2004-04-19 12:42 pm (UTC)Also, I am not free tomorrow night either, because my little brother and bratty 'sister' cornered me just now and used their evil powers of "but Scott" on me and I am going to see "Hellboy", God help me. Apparently it's just the three of us, too, or I'd ask you to suffer with me. They love me, I have to remind myself of this. They torment me because they love me. (Actually, I'm glad to spend time with them, especially Alex. I know Marie will come around if she needs me, but Alex doesn't, so having some time with him is good.)
Re: Email to Scott
Date: 2004-04-19 01:06 pm (UTC)I think I'm ready to talk and I know we need to, desperately. And tonight, or any other night that you can find the time for me, I'll be ready.
You should get out, have fun with Alex and Marie. They're probably tormenting you because they know you need the time away.
(And there's no need to explain, Alex is just a victim of the Summer's family stubbornness. I know it well.)
