Lads,
We got Romany back, and she knows not to do it again without an expert on hand. Borrowed Ramsay, Colbert and Maximoff to do it, but I don't think anyone in a position to be pissed off about it saw any of them, so I don't think there was anything to connect the business back to you lot.
Anyway, I'm dropping you a line because a) you're going to hear about this at some point, and b) you might be able to help out in some manner anyway.
The short version is: I'm going into business for myself. I'm not willing to sit on my hands over some of the things I dig up any more - the sort of thing the leather brigade can't be associated with, either because it'd cause international incidents if anyone got caught, or because there's too high a chance that it'lll piss someone off, and they'll try and step on the school. So I'm not coming back, and I'm setting up my own shop. Emma seems willing to provide a certain amount of the bankroll, if only because it pays off some of the whopping great favour she owes me, and she was making noises about talking to Moira as well - I'll let the pair of them fill you in on whatever precise details they cook up.
Either way: I'm setting up operations for myself in New York, details of whatever cover we come up with yet to be confirmed. I'm going to be hiring on a few people - LeBeau and Braddock are thinking it over, Amanda's probably in, too, and I may accumulate more people over time if it seems neccessary. I'll make sure we pass on anything we turn that might be relevant to you lot, but this is not going to be an operation that works for Xavier's school any more, which should remove most of the concerns that having me under the roof would generate, and from my point of view will let me do the job *I* think needs doing. Best all round, really.
So, yeah, that's the plan. LeBeau's already on his way, and I'll be in New York in a couple of days. You've got my number if you need to get hold of me.

Glad to hear about your sister, first of all. Secondly, if you say we're covered in terms of your unexpected help, I'll take your word for it. I'm glad the situation wasn't as bad as you thought in terms of the likely backlash.
If you need anything from us in the process of getting set-up, let us know. I'm sure there are half a dozen blatantly obvious things I'm not thinking of at the moment, but it's not been a great 24 hours. Give me another day or two.
