I believe it might be good for Doug to spend some time out being social, and if he is welcome, some time at the party would help his mood, but I do not want to assist him at the expense of anyone else's well-being.
If all of you think it would be safe, for you, and for him, can we bring him for a short time?

Alison? This might sound like I am mad, but can I bring Doug to dance class? I think it would help him to get his blood moving a little.

Okay. I'll hang about. I'm going to be making ice cream with Bobby (vanilla-brownie for Ali) and all. I'll keep my distance unless you say otherwise.
Damnit, Angie, I want this to be over, you know? Whatever needs doing, I just want to do it so this is all fixed. We have to go on from here and this has to get better. I'm not losing my friend over this if I can help it. Distance seemed to work with Bobby, and time. I just don't know what's right to do to make it all work this time.

Thanks.
And, so do I. I just want all this done and over with. We made Doug see Doctor Samson - I had to push him in the room, but he went. I think it might help a lot. He seemed tired, but less like he would hide under the bed again.
