memo to Leonard, Hank, Moira, and Madelyn
Dear Doctors,
A colleague of Leonard's had him out in West Virginia on the weekend to look over a "special case", a young mutant woman with no memory of her past. He came back in on Monday like his hair was on fire and managed to sweet talk me into taking the young lady on at the school. I could not argue with him that the mental institution in which she was placed was woefully inadequate to her needs and he is also correct that what she really needs is a safe place to be among her peers while she regains her memory. All tests to date indicate an exceptionally bright, gentle young woman with a deep desire to rediscover herself.
It is possible that I am in need of an evaluation in that I am allowing him to transfer her here on such short notice but we do, as he points out, "owe him one" for being willing to take on our students here as the mainstay of his practice. I don't know where we'd be without him and so I'm willing to do this favour for him. The young lady, Jane, will be turned over to you professionals and I will be interviewing her myself once she's more comfortable here. When you four feel that Jane is ready, I have made arrangements for her to join Ms Guthrie and Ms Sefton in their room.
Many thanks in advance for your patience, my friends,
Charles
