Subject: trip?
I did some fast talking. There's a Red Cross plane leaving New York for Attilan just before dawn, and we have seats if we want them. I promised we'd help assess any specialized medical needs among the island's mutant population, and Moira promised to supply some of that help from Muir if need be.
If you're coming, Pietro, you need to actually help us do the work, by the way. There's only so far I'll go in using Elpis to provide cover for anyone or anything.

Despite appearances I am not, in fact, a feckless layabout. As long as the assessment doesn't eat up all my time over there, you'll hear no complaints from me.
I appreciate the thought.

You are after all blessed with unusual speed in most things. All signs are that we're not looking at any sort of serious crisis situation on Attilan, according to Charles and the news, but if there's a need for anything Muir can provide, best we find out about it as quickly as possible. There would have been a fair chunk of elapsed time since Illyana's accident.

Yes, and that's going to be a little strange for . . . well, I was going to say everybody, but I suppose I should really say everyone who wasn't here in 2004.
It should be reassuring to know that there are people around who have actual experience counseling people through--what's the official term, anyway, "extradimensional time-slippage dissociation" or words to that effect? Reverse Van Winkle Syndrome? Instead I'm just wincing at the prospect of hordes of grad students watching the news tonight and deciding it's the perfect thesis topic.
I may still be a little shocky.
