Remind me why I became a doctor again? Oh, obviously it must have been to imprison people in uncomfortable medlab beds and make their lives miserable just because I want to. Nothing to do with helping them, oh no.

Forgive the sarcasm. Between the kids' 'let him die' attitude to our unconscious FOHer, Betsy's post and now Nathan's hissy fit, I'm having doubts. Moira, I love you and your husband dearly, forgive me, but right now I just want to smack him one. Or possibly make him eat all those EEG tapes I've been poring over for the last four hours.

And I'm on my way down for shift chageover, Jean. I'm actually looking forward to the sensory deprivation that hazmat suit entails. Grr.

I'm having words with him as soon as I can find the giant arse. I don't know what crawled up where and died, but rest assured I'll pull it out again. If he thinks he's saving us trouble by avoiding us and worrying our volunteer staff, then he has another thing coming.

Our kids who help us are supposed to tell us when things like this happen so if he gets angry at Clarice, I'm seriously tempted to rip him a new one.

After this month? We're all going out somewhere. I don't care where, we just are.

Thanks for the back-up, Moira. I re-read Nathan's post again and it hasn't improved with the distance of a night on-shift. But I'm going to be good and not make sarcastic remarks about childish tantrums being the sort of thing we're looking for. I'll leaving the reaming to you. ;)

I have a cunning plan. It involves that day spa Alison's so fond of. What do you think?

Honestly, it feels like there isn't anyone in the whole school who isn't under extra stress from something these days, be it Haroun or Tommy or problems of their own. Spa day sounds lovely. Hell, any time away from the atmosphere around here sounds wonderful.
