Cookie, I'm afraid to to you this but you're gonna have to find yourself a new roommate. I'm gonna be staying up here with Maddy. Things sorta fell into perspective and I hope you never gotta bury the people you're training with now. Take care of yourself. Work hard on the team but also don't forget you gotta let loose sometimes. Harry's isn't that far away so stop in for a drink every now and then.

I'm gonna miss you, Amara. I'll be back in a few weeks to get my stuff and when I do, you and I are having one last night on the town so prepare yourself.

Heya Speedy. So, I'm sure you noticed I'm not back yet because I'm not breaking down your door for food or details of your tea time with Jake. Truth is, I'm not gonna be coming back to the mansion. I've decided to stay in Canada with Madison. The relaunch of Alpha's been canceled; I wouldn't have any backing from Department H or any reason to continue training with the X-Men even if my husband wasn't hurt. Right now, my place is here and I gotta see thing through to an end no matter what it's gonna be. Come and visit sometime - preferably with food. I've got my appetite back, kinda, and hospital cafeterias just ain't cutting it. Also, I sent an email to Johnny explaining the situation. Check on him for me? I owe you for it.

Thanks and if you tell anyone I'll miss you, I'm gonna have to go to your bistro and have my revenge.

Subject: Heya kid.

I heard from Speedy that he talked to you. I'm sorry I ran out last week and that I missed our training sessions but yeah, things went bad at home and now they're not much better. Five of the people I grew up with were killed in a training accident and another two people were injured pretty badly. One of them was a mentor of mine, the other was my husband. He's okay, physically, but there's psychological stuff that still needs to be sorted out. Because of that, I've made the decision to stay in Canada to help him. I'm not going to be coming back to the mansion to live. I will be down in a few weeks to get my stuff and I hope we can get lunch or something then and talk. If you need me before then, you can always email or call.

You've come a long way since you started at the school, kid. Keep training when you can and I'll see you soon.

Dunno if you've talked to Gar or anyone lately but things went bad back home and my husband nearly got himself killed. My former teammates weren't so lucky and we had to bury five of them and another's in serious condition in a coma. Long story short, I ain't coming back to the mansion so it's your turn to make sure Beaver Boy doesn't get his ass handed to him by anymore kids. I'll keep an eye on him when he's on this side of the border. Keep yourself safe, too.

Glad I could help get rid of one skeleton in your closet - or ghost in your penthouse. You need the kit I put together, Amara can get it for you.

No shit. I told you to sleep with him but ain't there a saying about getting the furniture in my house in order before trying to redecorate yours or something? Anyway, something happens to him and you'll have worse to deal with than me ranting in emails: his sister.

Madison is... alive. Still lots to deal with but physically, he's expected to make a full recovery. What's gone on in his head's another story.

I've never heard that saying. But I don't want to sleep with him. I don't know what the hell I want. And why are you assuming I'm going to do something to him that requires me to face the wrath of his sister? Right now, I'm just avoiding him like the plague. And if you tell him anything, I'll come up to the great frozen wasteland and barbecue you.

Well, from the little i know about him he seems like a decent guy. Stick with him until his head's on straight. He seems worth it.

What you do or don't do with him is your own business. And I wasn't assuming anything, just giving you a fair warning. You don't gotta worry about me saying anything to him, either, 'cause I got enough to handle to worry about Beaver Boy's love life.

He was a decent guy before he got hooked on the BoxBot. The overgrown toy is destroyed and while it's the only reason he's still alive, I'm glad for it no longer being an issue. Of course, we still don't know how much of it exists in Madison's brain so it's gonna be awhile until his head's on straight but yeah, I'm staying with him.

I understand. I am sorry to hear about the Flight program; I know you gave your all to be good enough for Alpha. I would say they will come to their senses, but you know my opinion of the higher ups and it would be a shame to start lying to each other at this point in our relationship.

Thank you for the invitation and trust that I will take you up on it. Not that I would not turn up sooner or later, but it is better to be invited. Fewer Beaubier-shaped holes in the walls are a good thing, non? But you do not need to wait for me -- you have my number. If you need me for anything at any time, just call. I am perfectly willing to drop my classes in Jean-Philippe's lap and go.

I'll keep an eye on Johnny, do not worry. But you do, for certain, owe me for running off north with another man and leaving me with the child. I always knew getting involved with a woman could only bring trouble.

For the record, your money is no good at the bistro. If you need feeding, want to get Madison out of the house, and do not want to put up with a speedster, head over. I will make sure that Anne knows to take care of you if you set foot over the threshold.

I don't like leaving people behind without getting to say proper goodbyes. But yeah, there wasn't much choice, unfortunately.

Maddy's doing okay. It's gonna be a long road until things are back to the way they were before - which means they'll be plenty of time for you to come up and visit. I'll show you around Toronto and maybe convince Heather to let me show you around Gamma and Beta's training facilities.
