Uh, can I ask you a question? If you have time, that is. If you're really busy it's okay, but I thought I'd ask. I mean, ask if I can ask you a question, because that's not the question I really have to ask that's just me asking if I can ask a question.
Thanks!

Okay... uh... so say there's this girl who likes this guy. (She's not me, I swear!) And she can't get this guy to notice that she likes him. I swear it's not me, it's a friend of a friend of a friend, it's just they uh...asked me about this and I don't have any experience with it so I figured I'd ask you because you're smart and you're a guy so how do you get a guy to um... notice... your friend?

When next you see your friend's friend, Dori, tell her (or him) that men are largely oblivious to subtlety and teenage boys are clueless on top of oblivious. If your friend hasn't been able to assess whether the boy in question is uninterested or just thick, she could always try simply asking him out. That way, she can stop wondering over the matter and enjoy herself. Do you think she would go for that direct approach?

...Sure, I guess. I mean she kind of thought that the guy should be able to tell but I guess I can let her know to just ask him out... So yeah. I guess she can do that. It can't be too hard, right? After all, this guy likes stuff like movies and things.
Thanks!
