I'm pretty sure Yvette knows how dangerous mutants can be and doesn't need someone shoving it in her face when she's already ticked off about people blaming mutants for just about anything, even when it has nothing to do with mutants. I mean, maybe some mutant did make birds fall from the sky. And sure, there are mutants out there who hurt or kill people, animals, and property, sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident. But Yvette's point was that some people take any opportunity to blame mutants even when there's no proof a mutant did it, and probably even if there was proof a mutant was not responsible, they'd still want us all go off somewhere and rot or die or something.
