Lorna-
I have an upcoming project with my GS troop where we will be planting miniature vegetable gardens in terracotta pots and I thought that while I was at it, I would see about putting together some for the mansion as well. Any requests as to what sorts of fruits, vegetables, and herbs I should purchase in particular?

Callie,
That sounds like it will be a lot of fun and I love vegetables and fruit and could always use more herbs in the kitchen. I could always use fresh tomatoes and maybe some peppers. Strawberries? What else can fit into a terracotta pot? Basil and oregano, I have some ideas already forming for dishes.

Well we are starting with salsa pots and pizza pots, and sort of going from there. Tomatoes, cilantro, hot peppers, sweet peppers, oregano, basil, garlic, etc. But they have some lovely looking kale and arugula, different lettuces, strawberries, cherries, black currants... I could easily come back with everything just looking at their list of available plants.
Okay. I need to stop now. There are just too many exciting possibilities.
Would you be willing to help out some with the care and upkeep? Pest control will be the big thing; I hope we don't get tomato worms.
