Dear Angelo and Professor Xavier,
I have a big favour to ask. This week, the family I've been babysitting for is going to Toronto to take their eight-month old daughter in for testing at the Children's Hospital there. Nadia is a hydromanipulator and in the last month her skin has started to take on a different hue. Her parents are humans who work extensively with mutant colleagues, but that's different than having your own mutant child. I've talked to them a lot about the kids I know from Xavier's but Angelo is one of the few with a visible mutation and a really good relationship with his parent. My parents and I are getting along now, but we didn't for a while, especially because I'm a mutant.
I know that things aren't too busy in the summer, so I thought maybe Angelo could come hang out for a day or two. They want to be good parents to Nadia and are worried about her and what it's going to be like for her growing up, to the point that they're already talking about maybe sending her away because they're not sure that human parents can be good parents to a mutant baby. I wish they could talk to Angelo and understand that what he's got with his mom is nothing about being human or mutant. I think they're being a little silly, but people are silly about their kids, it's natural.
We're going down on Friday, so just let me know if that's possible.
Love to you both,
Marie
