Letter from Chicago

Dear Jamie,
I think my mother is coming around. I ended up sitting down with her and talking about all the good things that being at Xavier’s has done for me, which meant about a twenty minute dissertation on you and how wonderful you are, but also included academic stuff and having friends and all that. She’s more convinced than she had been. Unfortunately, I also had to tell her about the bad stuff – she’d known, sort of, about the attacks, and Dr. Essex, and so she wanted to know the truth about that to balance out all the glowing things I’d been saying. Don’t really know what she’s thinking, anymore, but I promise I’ll let you know as soon as I can.
I love you, and miss you so much. Give my love to everyone at school.
-Kitty
