Scott,
Looks like I'm more or less immobile for the night again. Moira is glaring at me fiercely and threatening to drug me again if I don't get some rest, but I didn't want you to think I was avoiding the conversation I promised. We can do it in person, once I can get to your office without falling on someone, but I figured I should probably fill you in on some of the details more promptly than that.
I don't know if you're aware of a program known as Project Mistra - my understanding of the X-Men's intelligence contacts is incomplete, to put it mildly. Succinctly, it trains mutant children for black ops. I was picked up in my early teens and placed in the program. I was in government service for roughly fifteen years. Without getting into too many details, I left about six years ago, under less than ideal circumstances. They've tried to take me back into custody four times since then, the latest of which was three years ago.
As I said to you initially, I don't think this is going to be a problem for the school. I doubt they know I'm back in the States, given the nature of my arrival, and I would say that it's possible (given the length of time since the last retrieval team showed up) that they've given up on me altogether. But I've kept very extensive contacts in the government, and I should have at least a little advance warning if anything changes. I will inform both you and Xavier if I get even a hint that there might be trouble, and I am fully prepared to clear out immediately if that happens. From what Alison's told me, you've had quite enough of that sort of hostile attention over the last year or so.
Feel free to share this email with anyone you think needs to see it. Wisdom can vouch for a number of the details. I'm at your disposal to answer questions or clarify anything I wasn't clear about. Frankly, I'm not entirely sure this email is entirely coherent. I'm a little out of it at this point.
