Um. So. I went to see Alison to find out what Ms. Braddock left for me, only, y'know, not too early, because Haroun moved in there last night and there's all sorts of things I don't need to know, but I figured after first class would be OK, probably, and it was, and . . . where was I? Oh yeah. It was car keys. To her car. The Shelby. And a really nice note. And a coupon to get it repainted, because yeah, a purple car is kind of a statement for her, but for me it'd be . . . also a statement, and she gave me her car.
I think I answered one of Nathan's questions about Napoleon in the class discussion with "vroom." It's a good thing I'm used to people looking at me funny.
. . . You don't think this means she's not coming back, do you? I just thought of that. Because giving away your car, that's kind of a final kind of thing to do, and she's been keeping to herself really a lot, and I've kinda been worried . . . only, wait, no, she said she was planning on giving it to me for my birthday anyway, and it's not like she can't buy another car if she wants one.
I'm babbling. Come make me stop babbling? And then maybe after class we could go for a drive? Maybe to the auto detailing place to get it repainted? I was thinking maybe red. Or black. Or blue. Or maybe silver. What do you think?
1Like *wibble* only more so, and less with the "worried" and more with the "amazed."
