The bad news:

The kid's a scary, scary fuck up. He's got next to fuck all control over his powers - whatever the people around him feel, he feels. Yes, he can also fuck with people's emotions in turn, and doesn't seem to have much compunction about doing so.

In fairness to him, he's had a rough old life being used and abused by all sorts, and I don't really blame him for being the way he is, and I *think* he's showing signs of improvement. In a place like this, he's a disaster waiting to happen, but since Charlie's all about second chances and re-hab, and Emma has plans for him, I haven't pushed it...

The good news, though, is that he's one of Emma's little projects, and she's aware of just how dangerous he might be, and has impressed upon him that widespread fucking with people's heads is going to earn him a doing. He seems to at least have the self preservation instict to go along with her most of the time.

If you think you're going to have a problem with him, (and I know this is a radical solution) - sit down with the kid yourself and tell him there's might be a problem, and that it'd be best all round if he stuck clear of you as much as possible. He's not without self preservation instinct, and seems to respect honesty.

If you really don't wanna do that, I'd have a word with Emma and let her know that. But y'know, carefully in a sort of "I'm worried about what I might do to the boy" way, rather than a "He comes near me, I'll kick his fucking head in" way.

I'll cope. No need to bother Frost. Not sure what I'll say to the kid, but I'll try to be subtle. I hope to hell you're right about his instinct for self-preservation, because I am not letting another fucking empath mess with my head. Had enough of that for a lifetime.

I think you've said something like it in the past.

The thought occurs - there's a psi-damp room in the basement. I dunno if you can go in there or not safely, but I know it blocks his powers. He doesn't like it much, but if you can go in, it might be the best place for the two of you to chat.
