Hello Jono,
I hope you and Paige have been having a good New Year! I'm afraid this e-mail is more in a professional capacity on the eXcal end though. There's been some weird activity on the Isle of Man and from what I understand there's a whole lot of folklore over there which I know you know a lot about. eXcal will be goin' to have a look. Do you have any insights for us before we head out? Sounds like we don't know much about the readings coming through.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation and give Paige my love!

Date: 2025-01-09 04:54 am (UTC)Good to hear from you, I hope you’re also having a good New Year!
There is an abundance of local folklore there. What exactly seems to be going on that needs investigating? I cans help narrow down particular stories that might be more help than the infamous talking mongoose.
Paige also sends her love and says that you’re to be careful and stay safe,

Date: 2025-01-09 05:00 am (UTC)I'll be honest, I'm still learnin' all the technical lingo, but from what I reckon, it seems like there's a new sorta portal over there. Namor mentioned something about fae, though, if that helps at all. Maybe just a general rundown of anything likely to be able to make a strange anomaly that "prolonged". Anythin' about disappearances would be a big help though.
Tell Paige I'll be careful as I can be.
Thanks so much,
Jay

Date: 2025-01-09 05:11 am (UTC)There’s a good amount to do with disappearances though how much of that is idiot podcasters getting lost in the wilderness and how much is actual fae is up for debate.
There’s a few particular locations that are well known for disappearances as well as site specific lore on how to avoid being kidnapped. Bridges in particular are popular spots, it’s best to keep safe by being extremely polite and gracious to the fae (thanking them for letting you cross, greeting them, etc).
If you give me a few I can send you a map of those locations to compare against your readings?

Date: 2025-01-09 07:27 pm (UTC)Jay,
Here you go! Sorry for the delay, one of my mates hid my laptop to force me to have fun or something. I’ve got maps of the whole island and then particular areas of high frequency. Maps are color coded based on the chronology of the disappearances. I’ve also sent some trusted and well researched translations of folklore and the syncretism with other local folklores (Irish, Welsh, Scottish, Kernow, English, etc.) in case there’s any particular similarities or differences that you aren’t already familiar with.
If you need anything else let me know!
