Hi, Alani. For Kevin, I would suggest things that allow him to express his creativity. Paints, markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc, would probably be welcome. I've been wondering how he'd do with building-style things, too, like clay or Lego. Maybe not a kit, but anything he can use in a free form sense.
The other thing I've noticed is that he has an affinity for objects that have warmth, weight, and softness. He likes having a lot of blankets and pillows on his bed. Texture-wise, I'd lean towards plush. He doesn't seem to care for things that are flat or stiff, like pure wool.
I had been leaning that way, and to have my idea affirmed was very relieving! I had gotten some art products and the sensory talk also gave me an additional idea I’m hoping will be well received.
And I think I have a rather unorthodox idea; a few colleagues have praised their u-pillows for comfortable sleep. Thoughts?
I had to google u-pillows, but I think that might be a good option as well. He's still a little nervous about human contact, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want it. Simulated touch and support may be a good substitute, at least for now.

Again, thank you for your time!
