Heya kiddo,
Been noticing a few things going on here and there and wondering how you were doing... rant at me if you need it?

Subject: Doug…
Hey there,
How has Doug been doing lately? Haven't been seeing him as much and he's missed some band practice. I thought it was mostly school related since he's done the hermit crab study thing before, but the way Angie is talking in the comments to his post has me wondering.
Any thoughts?

Subject: Yes, they are.
I do not know if everything is okay. One minute Doug is fine, and the formal was okay, and then the next he is holed away in his room being a hermit again! I do not know what I did, and I wish he would just tell me if something is wrong, because I am starting to have this terrible feeling that he does not want to be around me anymore. Because he never wants to spend time around me now!

Hrm. Basic question - is he ignoring everyone when he does this, or just you? If it's everyone in general (and I get the feeling it is) I really really doubt it's you or anything to do with you.
Even if it's still stupid of him to neglect you. But he's a boy. Boys are stupid that way. They need to be reminded sometimes.

I think he is mostly ignoring everyone. He does not post to his journal or comment or respond to emails or go out or do -anything- right now.
But I do not know why, because he keeps saying it is just his stressful project and too much work.
I tried to remind him. I ... am not sure what to do now, except maybe throw rocks.

Then it's not you. Plain and simple.
Still - going in there with you head full and all won't help either of you. Dunno if a work out would help you clear out the frustration, but if you need a target to take swipes at (or feel like taking out that hunk of lead in the closer you brought back from Asgard for practice), I'm game. :)
And if calm and steady doesn't work after that, I'll help you pick out nice rocks to throw at him.

It might just. I.. am trying very, very hard not to take this out on anyone else, but I am about ready to scream.
The hunk of lead, however, is actually Doug's, and in his room now. Mine got melted.
Do you think it would help if they were pretty rocks?

Subject: Venting is good...
...really, I vent and scream at people all the time. Being a diva and all. ;) I promise you that it does indeed make you feel better, or at least calm you down enough that you can make sense of things.
I am not going to suggest you apply that to Doug's head. Yet.
And I don't know if he deserves pretty rocks. We'll have to wait and see how the talk goes, no?

No freaking clue, and I'm starting to get annoyed/worried/more annoyed/concerned. Longest conversation I've had with him in a while is when Kitty brought Lockheed over--the rest of the time, the most I can usually get out of him is "Not now, I have to work on my project."
And I have no idea what the project is. Every time I try to get a look he takes his laptop and leaves, or he turns his monitor off and glares. I'm about yay far away from ambushing him in the middle of the night and leaving him on Angie's doorstep, or something.

That's some project. Wonder for what class it is?
Geh. Does he at least eat and all that? Hopefully he can be nudged out of this but if not...
I'd say 'You know how those creative types are' but... ahem. Yeah.
