Morning Cain,
That's… a really good point. He's been seeing Samson regularly still but Tai Chi can't hurt in the least and I'm looking into local classes anyway this week. Thanks for the head's up, Cain. A lot.
And didn't I tell you he was good at poker? Oops. Must have slipped my mind. I've already been presented with the loot and it's a good thing I like pretzels. (Remember when I told you not to bet jujubes? Heh.)

Thank you for taking care of Miles along with the others - I hope no one let him get on a sugar high?
There are things I need to take care of today, but how about tomorrow? Been ages since I've been down to the barn and a ride sounds like a wonderful idea. We can talk about what happened with Paige then, too...

Haroun has managed to talk himself into a full on shopping experience, and of course there's no way that can be done properly without you along. May I suggest you bring Alex along (more pack animals, glee!) and we give them the grand tour of All Thing That Can Be Bought? While terrorizing everyone around us, of course.
Welcome back, roomie. I missed you.

It was no trouble at all, Al. You know how much I like Miles. He had a blast yesterday. Koosh ball warfare with Doc Mactaggart, Lorna finally back from California, and play time with Mao? He was positively in heaven.
Tomorrow sounds just fine to me. You take care of whatever needs doing today and I'll start buttering up Goregous so maybe he won't chew on me tomorrow. :)

Oh lord. I'll bet you anything Lorna made him cookies too. She did, didn't she? Wonder who ended up dealing with the sugar rush...
He still worships anything not-male that'll give him treats and as far I know, there's pretty much only Jamie that Gorgeous will tolerate. Although... if anyone can convince him otherwise it'd be you. :)
Meet you at the barn, then?

I'm sure things will go fine with Scott.
I wouldn't necessarily know, but I wouldn't rule it out. She dotes on the little guy, which just helps encourage that little not-quite-crush I think he's got on her. :)
I think Gorgeous is slowly getting used to me. Took him a whole ten minutes to get around to gnawing on me last time I was out in the barn. :)
Whenever's convenient for the lady. :)

Well, see - I figure he can't kill me in his office. Blood all over the leather couches would ruin them.
People are starting to notice the worshipful looks he keeps giving her, huh? He's still in "ew, cooties" about girls in general though.
Ten whole minutes? I'm in awe. Usually it's a hoof to the head in two seconds flat. Or you know, latching on to arm and using as club on other people. (He. Has. Done. This. I kid you not. It was very amusing at the time - Asgardian men really don't take well to horses who are out to gnaw on them.)
Tomorrow morning it is. See you then!

I doubt he'd kill you, even if it weren't for the leather couches. You saw what he was doing to himself, and you acted in what you thought were his best interests.
I think it's just me, because I spend a decent amount of time around him. I remember being in that "ew, cooties" stage myself. He'll come around soon, just you wait.
And yeah, ten whole minutes. I was impressed too. He actually used your arm as a club? Clever one, isn't he?
Bright and early. Will be there with bells on.

He is an evil, deceptive little Muppet. He cleaned me entirely out of oyster crackers, and then started in on the pretzels. Thank god Lorna came over before he got the idea that grown-ups play this game for money.

No, he'll just plan ways to do it. Grumpity grump grump. Eh, I'm over-anticipating again. Might as well just go after I send this email.
I haven't told Lorna yet. She hasn't mentioned it. Either she knows and thinks it's godawful cute, or she's totally oblivious. Either way, it's fun to watch.
Doofus. He used people as clubs. Clamped down on their shoulders then did this funny neck jerk thing while rearing. Kinda freaky, actually.
I'll listen for the bells!

I'd say he learned from the best only I'm not so good at poker. I just get the odd lucky streak now and then.
What makes you think he doesn't know? You just can't eat money, is all. He doesn't really seem to care about it all that much in general. He'll pick food as stakes anytime over pretty much anything else. ;)

I doubt Scott's gonna kill you, Al. You're overanticipating. Yeah, he might be a little upset over sleeping through whatever that was with Illyana, but he was working himself towards a breakdown, and we all knew it.
I can't decide which is more likely in Lorna's case. But it sure is fun to watch. You shoulda seen how intent he was on bringing fish back to Lorna, even though she was out of town at that point.
He...wow. I should consider myself _very_ lucky that he doesn't do that with me, shouldn't I?

That way I wouldn't feel as guilty for dragging Moira away from Nathan and take all the night shifts. Did I mention I wish Hank was back? This is seriously killing me. And with Cece looking likely to move out this weekend... Gah again. But yes, I think I can do dramatic whining. See, I'm already practicing the whining part... ;)
And my patheticness doesn't get me even a morsel of waffle?

Nope, no owing of revenge here. It wasn't my fault I was busy cleaning instruments when Haroun snuck in with his camera...

He's the reason I came here, did you know that? Knew him before I ever even heard of this place...
Hrm. Not bad. You need a bit more woe in there I think though.
Well. Maybe a bit. I could go down to the kitchen and make maybe one, I suppose... *put upon sigh*

Oh God, yes. Sounds wonderful. We're on night shift number four and counting...
And no, I didn't know that. Where'd you come across Hank during your fabulous rock star career? He's not exactly the sort to run in the same circles as you, I would have thought. Do tell the whole story - there may be blackmail material. *grins*
Working on the woe. I'm out of practice.

Date: 2004-10-13 02:06 pm (UTC)Soon. If Moira can't make it I'll get you out at least, and then we can both go back to rescue her. You know - did you consider liberating some of the kids from classes to help during the day? Those that have been helping around in the medlab anyway? It'd give you some more snooze time, for one thing. And a few days of missing class won't hurt them.
It was at some fancy evening thing after a concert. Hrm. I may tell you more about it later, too much to this for it to be email material - or you can ask him when he gets back if you want. But it's been three and something years now. :)
Practice makes perfect, you know that. More woe, now.
Hrm. May even add in chocolate chips. The cute is pretty good.
Alison

Date: 2004-10-13 11:32 pm (UTC)Tattoos. Ouch. And Ick. Can't we just go with the tombstone idea?
And yes, the kids haev been helping, as much as they're able to, any way. It's not exactly been easy on any of the three of them - Clarice has been pretty vocal about what she thinks of the whole demon thing, and Rahne... well, she hasn't said anything, because she's far too polite to, but she's been a bit on the skittish side since that weekend. And as for Amanda... Thank God Pete decided to get her out of here for a few days. She was looking at being tranq gun candidate number two, and her butt's skinnier than yours. I've been napping during the day whilst Cece covers my classes, but you know what this place is like - it's impossible to get any eral sleep when there's the pitter-patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots just downstairs...
Once Hank gets back, I think I'll be taking a short vacation. Go home, see the folks, talk to Carlie about visiting. _Sleep_. And let Mom feed me as much as she likes and listen to Dad talk about retiring, again. He's been talking about it for the past five years. But yes, vacation _good_.
Wanna have that chat over coffee? Coffee not made by either of us, so it's trustworthy? I can practice my woe face on you then.

Vacations are good. Very good. Last time I went was in Mexico. Came back with a little green man, too. :)
