Hey, you. Wanna find a dragon-sitter (I'm thinking 'three feet tall and green' is always a good decision), get dinner someplace nice, and go see Sky Captain? If we sneak out quietly enough we might even be able to avoid the Disaster Fairy.
C'mon, I know you're ahead on your homework already. :)
Love you.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
I'm going to check in on 'Yana quickly, make sure she hasn't started screaming at the medical staff yet, then I'll come find you. Can you talk to Miles?
You're the best, you know that?

What, as opposed to just snarking at them? Might wanna remind her that if she starts yelling at people with a big hole in her stomach they're gonna be forced to sedate her again. For her own well-being, of course. ;)
I was gonna grab Miles at lunch anyway--will ask him then, no problem.
And it's a lucky thing you think so, because you deserve nothing less. :) Let you in on a little secret--play your cards right and there's a not-insignificant chance you'll be able to talk me out of my shirt when we get back, assuming we can leave Lockheed with Miles a little longer than absolutely necessary . . .

Re: Re: Blowing of posicle stands
Yeah. And it's not like the yelling will get her better faster, and for once they're really not letting her out until she is.
Oooh, shirt. And I don't even have to play poker to get it...
Actually, that could be really, really funny. We've both got Ms. Frost's training... Strip poker, Jamie? -smile-

I keep expecting them to go in and take her temperature and find her starring as the mysteriously-disappeared-person in a locked-room mystery, myself. Am keeping that well under my sombrero in case she gets ideas, though. :)
And no we don't both have Ms. Frost's training, I kinda skipped that class on account of never being able to tell if she was being patronizing or not and having all kinds of bunches of classes that quarter anyway.
That said, though, my grandpa did have a very broad-minded approach to things a six-year-old should be able to do. So you're on. :)

Re: Re: Blowing of posicle stands
I think she does actually know she's not well, she just doesn't like to admit it. Thus the continuing to be in the medical wing...
I usually think trying to figure out if Ms. Frost is being patronizing isn't worth the time and she generally seems to like me. Plus the class was brilliant.
Excellent. -grin-

We should make her a card, or a certificate, or something. The Jamie And Kitty Award For Recognizing That A Big Hole In The Stomach Really Does Need Medical Attention.
Glad you enjoyed the class--school should be fun.
Hey, though, while we're talking about clothes (sorta)--final opinion on that Halloween costume idea? I'm gonna have to start pulling together the stuff pretty soon--spandex doesn't grow on trees and I have an idea for your smoke machine but I need to make sure it won't, y'know, electrocute you, because that would be bad. I'll work out the bugs, though, don't worry. :)

Re: Re: Blowing of posicle stands
Yes, we should. But let's not give it to her until after she's released. Again with the not giving her ideas.
I'm still fine with the costume, although yes, not being electrocuted would be a good thing. So would not suffocating from smoke inhalation... -g-
