Marie-Ange,

This isn't going to be quite as encouraging a reply as you hoped for, I suspect, but I'll do my best.

Before we start any sort of training of that particular sort with you, you do need to talk to the Professor and your parents. If they're not all in agreement with what you want to do, we can't do it. You're underage and wouldn't be doing anything with the training for a while in any case, but this is still a necessary first step. (Incidentally, this is not the sort of training I'm going to be doing with Doug, so there is not a flaw in my logic here, just in case you were about to point that out.)

Assuming that happens, then you and I need to have a very long talk. I'm not sure I'm confident that Doug's situation isn't influencing you unduly here; this seems, from my perspective, to be very sudden. I do understand that you've matured a great deal since you've been at the school and your beliefs when it comes to violence are different than they used to be. I think that was probably inevitable, given everything you've been through. But what you're proposing to do is something completely different than just reacting to say, an attack on the school. We need to talk, and there are a number of files and visual records you should probably see before you decide one way or the other.

That being said, until the decision's made, I would encourage you to keep up with your powers training. I know Nathan's probably got your precognition covered, but we should really work out something a little more formal for the other aspect of your mutation. Come and see me?

I rather expected that I would have to speak to my parents. I have a regular weekly phone call with them on Tuesdays and had thought to discuss it then, and then I imagine they will want to speak to Professor Xavier. I am not antipacting them telling me no. I believe they understand that if they did, I would simply wait until I was of age.

They are quite reasonable that way. I am not certain -why-, but they are.

I will speak to the Professor as soon as he is available, and then I will make an appointment to speak with you in person.

Doug's training did influence my decision in a small way, but this was something I was considering already, so it was more a matter of impetus. Him telling me reminded me that I was thinking about it, and simply hastened my decision to speak with you.

As I understand it, if I find myself unsuited to this either physically or emotionally, I can stop training, as the X-men are not a conscripted force. Regardless of certain unspoken but well-known viewpoints.

Between Nathan and some research and books provided by Amanda's mentor, Dr. Strange, I believe that my precogition is being as trained as it can be. From what Nathan tells me, we are learning as we go. I believe the exact words might have been "Flying by the seat of our pants." . Which is terribly silly, now that I think on it.

As for my image projection power, I will make an appointment for Dr. MacTaggart, as well as speaking to you about it when I speak to you about training, if that is acceptable?
