Remy told me everything. About why Pete left. And who it was who did for his dad. And it's taking everything I have to not find that fucker Alphonso and do him myself, before he hurts anyone else. Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything stupid - I promised Pete I'd take care of myself, and that's the least I can do, while he's gone.

My timing's fucked as usual - you need to concentrate on the Mistra stuff, and that bastard MacInnis. I'm not okay, but I will be, with a bit of time and space. And maybe a few exploded rocks in the quarry. *wry grin* Can't let you and Pete and Cain have all the fun, can I?

You realize how right you are, though, about what Pete would want. What he's doing, it's about trying to protect you and Romany, not just taking revenge for his father. Knowing that you're here where the rest of us can look out for you too is going to be important to him, I think.

I am going to be pretty much caught up with MacInnis and the others for the rest of today, and most of tomorrow. If you decide you've had enough space tonight, though, come knock on the door? We do have that nice big couch and a bird who'd be happy to sleep on you.
