Apologies for not keeping you updated, but time was a vital element to this and there wasn't any.
By now rumours will be abounding about the woman le Beau and I hauled back in cuffs this evening. The person in question calls herself Infectia, and she's a small-time villain with delusions of grandeur that are fortunately outstripped by her lack of intelligence. She's a mutant, and she's the one responsible for Hank's condition, as well as the death of at least one person, probably more. I've already contacted Fred Duncan, the DAD for the mutant-related crimes division at the Bureau, and he's going through a number of unsolved cases with similar attribrutes as we speak.
Now the important part. What she's done is reversible, she says, and I have very good reason to believe her. We've already had her reverse what she did to Hank, and we're keeping her in the Box overnight just to make sure she's on the level. But... I think this is the miracle we've been banking on.
I'll keep you updated as to Hank's condition, and let the school know when we're sure he's okay. Moira's monitoring him now.
Maddie.
