I've been trying to handle both lunches and dinners, but I'm barely keeping up with my homework and things. I know Ms. Dane can't really cook yet, but if you 2 can do lunches, I'll do dinners? We can work something out.

. . . oh, is that why there are so many leftovers in the fridge? Geez, Dani, you should've said something earlier, you really don't need to work yourself into the ground. Most people get their own lunch, I think, but yeah, I can do Sandwiches For The Invalid, Distracted, Or Lazy easy enough.

And I . . . kinda thought we already were alternating on dinners, so we've probably been duplicating effort at least part of the time. Whoops. We should take this secret to our graves lest we be buried in schedules.

Either way . . . yeah, you take a break and don't overstress the kid, we can beat back the ravenous hordes.

Damn. This is my fault, isn't it? Okay, we'll make schedules from now on, folks.

R&J--I'm going to start hanging out while you guys are cooking. Your weekly menu assignments? Are going to become practicals now so think about how you're going to get that exotic fruit for your desserts, etc.

Dani, actually, if you wouldn't mind R&J taking over even more meal prep? I know you've kinda been buried under paperwork and stuff anyway. If you want to keep up on part of the cooking that's cool but I think the wonder twins can probably keep up with most of it.

Can we use "befriend the penny-ante dictator of the obscure Central American banana republic on whose sun-drenched slopes it grows" as our answer? I don't feel like I've befriended enough dictators lately.

So long as it doesn't get us involved in a landwar, whatever it takes. Just get the food on the table.

No land wars. Check. How about high-speed boat chases?

Let's use the rule of thumb, don't get caught and don't break laws, shall we?

United States law or Central-American-banana-republic law? I'm just trying to be clear, here.

Okay, but if the generalissimo squawks, I'm directing him to you.
