I've attached the new stuff Saul sent through the taskforce, mostly records about the settlement that he said he'd dig up for me. I skimmed through it - it's a lot of technical documents, on the wind turbines and hydroponics and the like. He said there was more, including the non-technical stuff, but he needed to track down who has them and it was taking him a little longer than he expected. But there might be more soon, and I'll send them along to you if there is. Should give you a little more to go on when you go up there.
And while I've got you, do you have any suggestions for how I can do some actual research into... well, what I thought the settlement was? That's the thing that keeps bothering me - where I got all the Social Darwinist stuff if it wasn't real. I thought maybe doing some reading would help me put it into context, but all I find using the internet is mountains of conspiracy theories. Given that you did actual work in this area, I was hoping you could point me to some useful stuff?

Date: 2005-06-19 02:14 am (UTC)As for the rest... The Internet is where conspiracy theories breed. Well, that and porn. *grins* This link (http://permanent.access.gpo.gov/lps3578/www.fbi.gov/library/megiddo/megiddo.pdf) is the official analysis of those sorts of groups done by Project Megiddo - that was the one I was attached to when I finished my training. It should give you an idea of what we were looking at during the time.

Date: 2005-06-19 04:58 am (UTC)sorry for myselfembarassed and headachey, and my usual stellar research skills ran off to Aruba with my good sense. I even found the places where conspiracy theories and porn merge and form an unholy union. It was very disturbing.Anyway. Show to Hank whatever you think appropriate - at this point, solving the mystery myself is looking like less and less of an option, so who am I to turn down expert assistance?
Thanks for the link. I'll check it out - in the morning, obviously.
