Hey, you two.

So, I'm not actually going to be around for the picnic on the fourth. Alex and I are going to Alaska with Scott and Jean to visit the boys' grandparents. Sort of a last minute trip. I'm really sorry to leave you high and dry like this but I think with all the planning we've done you guys will be just fine. If all else fails just run to the store and buy every kind of ice cream you can get your hands on. Just a little trick I picked up.

I'll be back Tuesday. By the way, I need to meet with you both. My office Wednesday at 2 okay with you two?

Lots of people don't like me. Oodles of people. And people change their minds. Maybe it was just the Christmas spirit and they didn't ever really like me at all.

Lots of crazy people, is my point. You're very likeable, and if Alex hasn't been keeping up the sales pitch since Christmas then he hasn't been doing his job as the boyfriend.

Ha. I bet you gave him the idea, talking about higher education and how you can't get a job without a degree and all sorts of stuff. It's all your fault we don't get free ice cream anymore, somehow.

I didn't! I wouldn't have sent him away until I got my revenge for that damned ice shower stunt he pulled. And now he is out of my reach of my squirrelly wrath. Curse him.
