Nathan,
I hope all's well? I imagine things are getting rather hectic as Moira's due date approaches. Please give her all my best.
I wanted to let you know that it turns out I'll be in New York for the next few weeks. We've had a job come up with the CONGO office there - I'm not certain if you're familiar with CONGO? It's the major NGO umbrella organization that liaises with the United Nations. Apparently they've had what we here at the office like to jokingly call a 'Three Mile Island event'. It's going to take three to four weeks of very full days to reconstruct their databases, and I prefer to supervise my people in person when the job is this massive.
Unfortunately, I don't think it's likely that I'd be able to get out to the school very often if at all while I'm there, unless things turn out to be less complicated at CONGO than our preliminary information would indicate. I'm hoping I can prevail upon the mountain to come to Mohammed. Day trips on my part may be out, but an occasional lunch or dinner in the city would be quite manageable.
That being said - how are things? I haven't heard from you in a couple of weeks, and I have to admit I've been somewhat concerned. Things seemed to have gone quite well the weekend you were here in San Francisco, but then to have such a long stretch of silence... I do hope everything's all right. Of course, having said that, I fully expect to find out that you simply needed the time to process everything - but I can't help worrying. Call it overcompensation?
I'll be flying into New York on Thursday - I'll let you know contact information for where I'm staying once I'm in town.
Take care,
Saul
