While my sexual prowess has been known to trigger the smoke alarm, even I draw the line at picking a public kitchen in a busy school right before dinner as the perfect place to make it with a girl who had a screaming match with my roommate a week before. A supply closet in Medlab, maybe, but not the kitchen.

And now that's out of the way, do you think you could have mentioned the bit about mainlining nightmares at some point? Just because I can hazard a guess as to the type of mutant power doesn't mean I actually know what it is. Rahne practically had to carry me down to Medlab, and although she's the right size for a crutch, this is getting ridiculous.

She was pregnant. Hormones shifted her power more to a sort of receptive empathy. Good to see that things are back to normal.

Oh, she's still got the control of a drunken buffalo trying to ice skate uphill, but at least that's back to what passes for normal.

As for the food, indulge me. It allows me some small illusion of reciprocity in our relationship. (No worries, I'm not the one paying for it.)

Well, I don't think it was altogether her fault -- though there was a disappointing lack of sex, I probably startled her when I grabbed her to keep her head from cracking on the tile. Didn't actually bite her because of the gloves, but it probably felt a bit creepy . . . and that's assuming my own incredibly unhelpful powers didn't do something to trigger it. The stupid buggers.

And I'd have some pointed comments about how unreassuring it is to hear that randomly shoving scenes of terror in people's faces is normal, but being the bloke that's already on record for two unprovoked attacks on staff and students I don't have much room to complain.
