We've got a job on, involving a German industrialist and Kevin MacTaggart's DNA. I'm heading for Muir Island tomorrow night and I could really use someone with a giant science brain. You up for it? All expenses paid and shouldn't take more than a day or two.

Man, contract to work on the computers and suddenly you're the go to girl on science matters (for when the go to guy's busy?). Nah, I kid. If you guys want to pay for me to go to Scotland, I'm hardly going to object. I'll tell Jamie once you tell me how much of it I can tell. (Seriously, the do not talk about this and that and the other or we hunt you down and make you pay forms I had to sign? Kinda alarming but not at all surprising.)

However, it would help if I knew a little more. Frex, who's the German, and how the hell did he get Kevin's DNA? And does Moira know??

To be honest, this is much more your area than Doug's, so even if he wasn't busy, I'd be going to you. Genetics was a sideline for you when that Essex bloke was around, wasn't it?

German's an old geezer by the name of Von Strucker. What the initial stuff's turned up was he was a scientist during WWII and came out of Germany with a perfect record. Suspicious, much? He bought Kevin's DNA through some backdoor dealings, probably with Joe MacTaggart selling off what he's got left. We don't know what the hell he wants with it, which is why the Muir trip - we need Curt's expert opinion.

Moira doesn't know. Yet. I'm not 100% happy about that since she's his mum and all, but I understand why we're keeping it under wraps for now. We just don't have the info we need. Pete and Remy have both told me to keep it quiet so I'll try, but if it comes down to needing to, then I'll wear the consequences.

Given what the deal's about and the whole part where most of the non-X people at the school think we're just a mutant research centre, it's probably a good idea to keep things vague for Jamie and anyone else who might be curious. You're helping out with research, basically. Might be later that you can mention the ins and outs, but that's definitely for the Trenchcoat Brigade to decide.

So, given you've got more info, you still up for it? Plane leaves late afternoon tomorrow.

A German scientist from WWII with a clean record? And so where are his war scars? Maybe I'm a cynic, but that's more than suspicious, I'd say, especially if he's buying blackmarket mutant DNA. Medical experimentation was a big ol' Nazi playground.

Actually... toss me the full name, I've got some friends who specialize in, to be blunt, war attrocities. Ok, they're Jewish, so they're biased as all hell, but you know, I'm ok with that. And if there's anything in his closet, well, a couple other people looking never hurts.

At any rate, yeah, I'm still up for tagging along. Possibly more up for it. Who knew I'd ever be grateful for the time I spent with Essex.

Yeah, that's what everyone's thinking, which is why we're doing the checking.

Our man is Wolfgang Manfred Strucker. From what Pete's dug up, the "Von" is a title he bought at some point to make himself respectable. See what your mates come up with and let Sofia know? She's the profile person.
