To: [Scott], [Ororo], [Charles], [Cain], [Logan]
From: [Jean]
Subject: Kurt and Amanda
I possibly should have mailed you as soon as Amanda came to see me, but I've been thinking over what she said. Possibly too much.
Amanda came to see Kurt and, taking in the hopelessness of the situation, apparently tried to heal him. As before, she didn't have the power and started draining the medical staff but, unlike before, this time she stopped when she realized what she was doing, and came to talk to me. To apologize. And to... well, not exactly make an offer, but to be talked into making the offer to try and heal Kurt, this time with proper volunteers.
I think... I think she's right, and it might work, and that it is the only thing that has any chance at all of restoring his sight or repairing the scarring on his lungs.
Scott, Ororo, Charles, I would like your opinions on this matter.
Cain, Logan, I want to ask something rather more of you.
Amanda believes that she might need three or four volunteers to get enough energy to heal Kurt, Less, "if it's someone with a lot of energy". Which of course brought you two to mind. I will understand completely if you are not comfortable with this idea, but I think that the two of you could provide the highest 'energy' to Kurt with the least possible effect to yourselves.
Additionally, and I think this might be the sticking point for you more than the other, I will be monitoring the procedure, of course, but in order to not get caught in her spell, I will have to be out of the medlab, monitoring telepathically and mechanically.
Please, let me know what you think. Kurt is stable, so there's not the drastic rush there was with Remy, nor the complete lack of hope that spurred her to act before. Kurt will live if he is not healed. But he will not recover.
